Woo, livin’ on a prayer! *cough* sorry couldn’t help but break out into a bit of Bon Jovi there… I’ve got some big news for you!! Read on, you don’t want to miss this!
I can’t believe it… you amazing humans… we’ve reached the halfway mark for my fundraising! My current total is… *drum role*
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! So amazing! So so incredible! I never thought when I started this campaign way back on 20th November 2016 that in 7 and a half months time we would have raised over £5,000. I don’t know what to say… just… thank you, thank you so so much!
There are however a couple a special mentions that I’d like to tell you about who helped tip the total over the 5k mark!
Rodger Duckworth Physiotherapy Practice
As regular readers will know a group from Rodger Duckworth Physiotherapy Practice did a sponsored climb of Snowdon in Wales back in May. Well the final total of what they raised, collectively through sponsors on and offline and the ‘Coppers for Kate’ jar, was a fantastic:
This is £1,179 over their target! Unbelievably awesome! The whole Practice have been so wonderful and supportive. I can’t thank them, or their sponsors, enough, seriously… saying thank you seems too small a repayment. This contribution will help so so much. I’m not sure what specifically it’ll go towards yet, but possibly the hire cost for an accessible vehicle for the road trip – if not that definitely a flight or two for my carers!
This company found out about me through the father of one of my Mum’s patients. Their donation is included in the final total from Rodger Duckworth Physiotherapy Practice, but I felt they deserved a mention! They donated an amazing:
I’m running out of suitable adjectives… This is the single biggest donation so far in my campaign. I’m lost for words. Thank you BWB Technologies!!! Thank you!!
Way way back in March/April I was commissioned by a group of ex staff members from Naomi House to design tickets for their up coming reunion party. I did, I was paid for my work and that was that. I really enjoyed doing my first freelance design job post university! Skip ahead a few weeks after their party, when I was staying at Jacksplace, I was given an envelope with £100 in it.
What’s this for??
Unbeknown to me, at the party they did a raffle and the proceeds they got from it they donated to me! I was so touched that I just had to mention it…
I’m still in shock that we’ve gone past £5,000… I am so grateful and so humbled at everybody’s generosity. Thank you to every single person who has donated your hard earned money so that we could reach this milestone! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I don’t have any news regarding the organisation of my trip, but as soon as I do you will be the first to know! As soon as I can get to my laptop anyway 🙂
Until next time, be kind and live your dreams! xxx
